Bank of London strengthens executive leadership team with appointment of Chief Operating Officer

Bank of London is pleased to announce the appointment of Moyra O'Doherty as Chief Operating Officer (COO), further strengthening its executive leadership team as the Bank continues its operational transformation and strategic growth agenda.

Moyra joins Bank of London with a strong track record of leading and scaling operations across regulated financial services and digital banking businesses. Most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Kroo Bank, she brings extensive expertise in banking operations, organisational transformation, governance, financial crime operations, customer operations, regulatory engagement and operational resilience.

As COO, Moyra will be responsible for leading the Bank's operational functions, driving execution against the Bank's strategic priorities, enhancing customer outcomes and ensuring the organisation maintains the operational excellence required to support its long-term growth ambitions.

The Bank also confirms that Sean Titley, Chief Risk Officer; Josh Cogan, Chief Commercial Officer; and John Davison, Chief Compliance Officer, have each received regulatory approval as SMF. These approvals further strengthen the Bank's governance framework and leadership capabilities as it continues to build a robust and sustainable platform for future growth.

Moyra O'Doherty, Chief Operating Officer, commented: "Bank of London is entering a new phase of its development, with a clear vision, a strong leadership team and a significant opportunity to reshape elements of the UK's banking and payments infrastructure. Operational excellence sits at the heart of every successful financial institution, and I look forward to helping the Bank build scalable capabilities that support growth, deliver outstanding customer outcomes and strengthen its position for the future."

Tony Bullman, Chief Executive Officer of Bank of London, said: "Moyra is a highly respected operational leader with an impressive track record of delivering transformation and building high-performing organisations within regulated banking environments. Her experience across digital banking, governance, operational resilience and large-scale change programmes will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen the Bank's foundations and execute on our strategic priorities.

"The regulatory approvals for Sean, Josh and John are equally important milestones. Together, these appointments and approvals reflect the significant progress we are making in assembling a highly experienced leadership team, reinforcing our governance framework and building the capabilities required for the Bank's next phase of growth."

Moyra's appointment and the latest regulatory approvals represent the newest steps in Bank of London's ongoing leadership strengthening programme, following a series of senior executive and board appointments over the past year as the Bank continues to enhance its governance, operational delivery and customer proposition.
