The Women in Finance Charter was launched by HM Treasury in March 2016, following a government-commissioned review into the representation of women in senior roles across financial services.

It sets out to build a more balanced and fair industry, with a focus on improving gender diversity, particularly in senior management, across the sector.More than 400 firms across financial services, from global banks to fintech start-ups, have voluntarily signed up to the Charter.

Signatories commit to working towards greater gender balance in senior management and to reporting their progress against the targets they set.Bank of London is a signatory to the Charter. As part of this commitment, we report our progress against the target we have set for senior management representation.This year, women hold 20% of senior management roles at Bank of London, against a target of 30%
