Who we are

A bank built for the innovation economy

London has never stood still. It is a city defined by the movement of ideas, commerce, technology, and ambition. It has evolved through the way businesses operate, how money moves, and how systems connect. Bank of London is designed for that same reality.

We are a clearing, settlement, and payments bank built from the ground up on modern infrastructure. We serve established banks, fintechs, payment providers, corporates, and regulated financial intermediaries that need direct access to UK payment schemes, a full range of account structures, covering everyday cash management, regulated client money structures, and virtual IBANs. Every deposit we hold sits 100% at the Bank of England, never put to work on a balance sheet. That is a structural commitment, not a policy choice, and it shapes how every part of the bank is built.

We listen, consider, and respond to where our clients experience friction, applying the judgement needed to move them forward. We meet their ambitions with capabilities designed for scale and the rigour required to move safely. And we evolve alongside them, continuously strengthening our foundations and expanding what we can do, to be the responsible partner that helps them achieve their vision.

The discipline behind the ambition

For us, innovation is the discipline of finding better ways to create value. We support the businesses shaping the future of the economy while strengthening the trust, resilience, and responsibility that modern banking demands. In practice, that means considered decisions over announcements, operational depth built alongside product ambition, and a clear commercial focus as we build something genuinely durable.

Our journey

We are actively building our next chapter, and we are bringing in the right people to do it. The work here is substantive and the stakes are meaningful. Individual contribution is visible in ways that matter.

If you are driven by partnership, by growing alongside the clients and businesses we serve, and by finding better ways to create real value, we would like to hear from you.

Culture

How we work

Bank of London moves forward through the quality of its people and the consistency of how they show up. Our values are not a statement of intent. They are the standard we hold ourselves to every day, with each other, with our clients, and with our partners.

Together these values shape a culture where people are trusted to contribute, expected to grow, and supported to do both.

Gracious

We build trust through respect, transparency, and dignity. That means straightforward communication, genuine consideration for the people around us. Trust, once built, is what makes everything else move faster.

Accountable

We take ownership of decisions and delivery, acting with integrity and intent. When things go well, we share credit. When they do not, we take responsibility and focus on what to do next. Accountability is what gives our ambition credibility.

Curious

We listen, question, and learn to build better outcomes. We are a bank designed to respond to where clients experience friction, and that starts with genuinely wanting to understand it. We create space for different perspectives and better ideas to surface, because the next useful insight can come from anywhere. We listen, question, and learn continuously to build better outcomes. Ambitious

We set high standards for ourselves, our clients, and our partners, and we deliver with discipline. Innovation, for us, is the discipline of finding better ways to create value.
