Business & Product Change Consultant
Bank of London is in re-launch mode as we look to disrupt the UK’s banking market. We’ve set ourselves some ambitious, exciting and challenging goals to hit in the next few years. You’ll be joining us at an exciting time, where we’re not only building new capabilities but also shaping how we work. We’ll constantly be adapting to the needs of the business and figuring out what works, learning and evolving as we go. This role is ideal for someone who is intellectually curious, thrives in ambiguous and fast-paced environments, and is motivated by the opportunity to shape change from the ground up. You’ll have tangible and meaningful impact from an early stage and exposure to every part of the business.
We’re looking for individuals who:
- Take ownership instinctively: when you encounter a problem, your first response is to seek a solution, not identify blame.
- Are comfortable with competing priorities and the lack of structure that comes with working in an early-stage business.
- Hold yourself to the highest standards of integrity and honesty, building a reputation as someone who is empathetic, trustworthy and knowledgeable.
- Are positive contributors to team and workplace culture, actively seeking ways to help others and to build strong and authentic relationships.
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, always looking to understand the bigger picture and improve how things are done.
- Thrive in ambiguous environments, adapting quickly and constructively to change.
- Communicate with clarity and empathy and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Comfortable with content switching, from talking about APIs or payment scheme rules one moment to internal risk & controls or agile methodology the next.
- Are hands-on and able to get stuck into the detail of complex problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Joining the dots, you’ll work with colleagues from across all parts of the bank to drive the delivery of change initiatives, including new product launches or projects within our transformation programme
- Translate regulatory, technological, and strategic requirements into actionable product and process changes. Conduct impact assessments, gap analyses, and readiness reviews.
- Lead the shaping of detailed business requirements, user stories and business readiness criteria to support product delivery and change projects. Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, operations, risk, and customer service to ensure successful implementation.
- Monitor delivery progress, resolve blockers, and ensure alignment with scope, timelines, and budget. Drive stakeholder engagement and maintain clear communication on change impacts, benefits, and risks.
